Mission: The Breen
Location: Bridge

Jessica walked off the transporter pad, her duffle bag was beside her. Placing the padd down on the pad, she turned to the officer. "Please transport the bag to my quarters."

"Of Course Commander." The officer replied as he did as instructed. "Commander Johnson am I right?"

Smiling, "Yes in the flesh."

"I will let the Captain know you have arrived. Im Crewman Langley by the way."

"Nice to meet you." Jessica stated as she watched her bag disappear. Walking out, noticing she was right near the turbolift so it didn't take her long to get to the bridge. As she made her way to the railing which oversaw most of the bridge, she remained quiet, just taking in the scene.

At that moment, the turbolift opened behind Jessica. Stepping out onto the bridge were two officers wearing command uniforms: A blonde man with the rank of Commander, and a woman with dark brown hair and eyes with the rank of Captain. The woman was holding a two month old infant in her arms, and she shifted the child to be supported by her left arm to free up her right.

"Commander Johnson, I take it?" The woman spoke up, extending her recently freed right hand. "I'm Captain Maho Takahashi. This is my husband, Keisuke. Welcome aboard the Myogi:"

"Thank you Captain," turning to her husband, giving a slight bow. "Pleasure is all mine." She turned, "I have to admit, being in the medical field, I found it odd that I was chosen as a command officer onboard this vessel. I know third officer doesn't scream vessel is mine, when three other officers are in front of me. But still."

"The way things are these days, fourth in line is a lot closer to taking command than you might think." Keisuke remarked. "Redundancy is more important now than it ever was before. So, that's naturally going to entail pulling more senior officers from fields like my brother's who are ready to take the next step."

"I understand what you mean. The USS Iroquois, was one of only a handful of ships to barely survive a battle with the enemy. A fleet of dozens sent to protect a planet. My other brother being the first, to communicate with them in another galaxy. Its going to be tough on everyone."

"We lost our fleet mate just before the little one here was born." Keisuke said, rubbing the infant's head. "The USS Akagi, with all but three hands lost. All things considered, I'd say we got off lucky from our last encounter, but our luck won't last forever, I can tell you that much."

"I'm sure we can share stories of trauma some other time." Maho said. "Now, unfortunately, seats are limited in the command pit, so Third Officer tends to be a much more physical job. You'll more often be working with Commander Takahashi here than with Commander Misono and myself. You might even find yourself working more odd hours than the rest of the senior staff. Keisuke tends to take a lot of late night watches."

"All things considered, i highly expected it."

"For the sake of meeting everyone you'll be working with, I alerted Commander Misono to your arrival after I was notified." Maho said, gazing at the nearest chronometer. "She should be here any minute now..."

As if on cue, the doors to the turbolift opened and a short, stocky female with auricles protruding from the top of her head and a short, bush-like protrusion from just above her posterior emerged.

"Captain; Commander," she greeted, acknowledging Maho and Keisuke before promptly shifting her attention over to the newcomer. "I take it that this is our new Third Officer?"

"Commander Jessica Johnson, first posting not as a medical officer oro professor of medicine."

"Commander Ichika Misono, Executive Officer," the dog-lady replied, offering up her hand (paw?) For Jessica to shake. "A pleasure to be making the acquaintance, Commander."

Accepting the extended paw, "Likewise Commander. So whats first on the agenda."

"Perhaps an orientation is in order?" Maho proposed. "Unless this isn't your first time being assigned to a New Orleans class ship?"

"An orientation would be appreciated, i havent had the chance to look over her layout."

With a nod, Maho proceeded to step towards the Master Systems Display nearby.

"Well, the best place to start would be to familiarize yourwlef with the Master Systems Display." Maho gestured towards it. "We're only 18 decks, so there's not too much to keep track of:"

Maho pointed towards the topmost deck of the Master Systems Display.

"Obviously, we're here on Deck 1, this is where you'll find the bridge and our conference room." She began. "Next major thing you'll want to know about is located on Deck 3, that's where our shuttlebay is located as well as our officers' mess. You'll be doing a lot of traffic management in and out of our shuttlebay, as Keisuke here can attest."

"Definitely one of the more exciting places to be on the ship." Keisuke nodded.

"Holodecks are on decks 4 and 5, though at present, we only have Holodecks One and Four running to conserve power." Maho continued. "Holodecks Two and Three can be brought back online on an as-needed basis, but the goal is to only keep two holodecks online at once."

Maho went down another deck.

"Deck 6 is where our transporter rooms are. That's going to be handy to know for away missions." She said, moving down to Deck 7.

"Deck 7 is where Sickbay is going to be as well as most of Marine Country. Our Five Forward lounge is located on this deck, as well as our Gymnasium." Maho explained. "Deck 8 is going to be where the Security Complex is located, as well as our docking ports and cargo bays. Deck 9, we've got a couple Science facilities, not like we've really had a solid Science department since Lieutenant Kamada, and the spaces of our former Diplomatic detachment, where we're posting the extra starfighter pilots we're taking on for this mission."

Down to Deck 10.

"Deck 10, rest of our Science facilities, and our aft lounge, but we're currently using that space for storage." Maho continued, moving down the decks. "Most of our Stardrive decks here are for mechanical systems. Deuterium system components, deflector control, torpedo launchers, tractor beams, the works. Deck 14 is where you're finally going to find main engineering. Though, friendly word of advice, Lieutenant Rori is a bit of a control freak down there. Engineering labs, more cargo bays, and our cargo transporters are all down on deck 16."

Maho then turned back to Ichika and Jessica.

"I think that's all the important highlights?" She asked.

"I believe so, " Ichika nodded before turning to Jessica. "Unless you have any other questions, Commander?"

"Very well, I think I can handle that." Jessica replied as she studied the schematics. "When I am able to I will take a tour of the ship to familiarize myself."

"If you have any further questions, Commander Takahashi will be happy to assist you." Maho instructed. "If that is all, I believe we can be dismissed?"

"Thats all I have at the moment, thank you." Jessica replied

"Welcome aboard once again, Commander." Maho replied with a smile, shaking Jessica's hand once again.
