Mission: The Next Myogi
Timeline: After 'The Upcoming Patrol (Part 1)'

Previously, on Star Trek: Myogi:

"I believe that's everyone, so we can get started." Maho nodded, pressing a button on the table.

Up above the table flickered a holographic star map:

"This is Sector 811:" Maho introduced. "Up until a few weeks ago, it was home to territory claimed by the Confederacy of Independent Planets. Many of the fortifications that the Confederacy has installed have remained in place, however, due to the ongoing... Situation within the Romulan Neutral Zone. I'm sure most of you by now know about the Dyson Sphere that appeared in the Neutral Zone a few weeks ago, in the Iconian System."

And now, the continuation:

''Countries may fall but their mountains and rivers remain'' Kael quoted an old poem. "Do we know whats inside it?" Though the answer would appear obvious. Few things regarding the enigmatic Iconians ever were.

"A Kardashev Type II civilization popping up out of nowhere is always a bad sign." Ami mentioned with a moue of concern on her face, "And indicative of actually a Type III or higher flexing their muscles. We can't rule out the return of Iconians, but if it's them, I'd think they were elsewhere and came back, not just 'hibernating' on their world or the like."

"To both of your points:" Chrirhc spoke up. "The Dyson Sphere is believed to have originated in a location from the Andromeda galaxy. The exact details on how it managed to jump from there to the Iconia system is still unclear, but what isn't unclear is what's inside it:"

"Iconians." Maho said. "Tens of thousands of them. The most recent intelligence suggests that there are now over forty six thousand Iconian ships concentrated in the Iconia system, and it's entirely possible that that number might actually be higher: Regardless, that's enough firepower to easily take on every major galactic power in the alpha and beta quadrants... And potentially win."

"Oh shit." Ami let slip out of her mouth, then slapped both hands over it as if to keep more from spilling out, "Sorry, I mean, um... That sounds like an um.. Adverse correlation of forces? Surely we're not going there by ourselves?"

"You would be correct in that assessment, Lieutenant," Ichika nodded. "As a necessary precaution, Commodore Honda has assigned the Akagi to accompany us on our patrol route."

"In addition, we are also set to be receiving a marine detachment on board to provide some heavier assistance to our security detachment." Maho added. "The marine commander I will be expecting to report in following the conclusion of this briefing. She has firsthand experience with the Iconians, something that I can imagine will be a highly desirable commodity."

Kurumis eyes narrowed. "Marines huh..." she said simply, clearly not amused by their presence. "Also, do we know why the Iconians are back? Which ship discovered that they'd returned?" She asked curiously.

"Our old frenemies:" Maho responded. "The USS Tokyo."

Maho paused for a moment to let that name sink in, for anyone who had been aboard for any significant amount of time knew about the bad blood that persisted between the Myogi and the Tokyo.

Kurumi simply nodded. "I see." she said in response. "I don't suppose that the Tokyo managed to gather any tactical datan that we could use?"

"Even if they did, I highly doubt that Captain Aisaka of the Tokyo would be willing to share it with us." Chrirhc responded. "Thanks to the... Shall I say petty nature of the ongoing dispute between her and Captain Takahashi, I doubt anything short of a subpoena would get her to turn that data over."

"Or... its more than likely that it was taken by Starfleet Intelligence..." Kurumi said narrowing her eyes at Chrirhc. "There's more to Starfleet than two Captain's that can sometimes act like children." She shot a glance at Maho.

"If it is in the hands of Starfleet Intelligence, I can certainly see what I can do to get ahold of it." Chrirhc said. "That being said, it likely won't be easy, as the Tokyo was already on a "classified assignment" when they came across an Iconian Gateway powered by Omega particles."

“Alisha might have a source she can get information from still,” Jane observed. “She still has some connections with SI, even if she cut formal ties.”

"Any tactical data you can dig up would be useful." Kurumi stated. "As head of Security and Tsctical everyone's safety falls on my shoulders. To do my job correctly I need that information to guarantee the safety of the ship and crew in a Tactical situation." Her voice stern and serious. "And let's be honest, we don't know what the Tokyo was doing. Just because she was there doesn't have anything to do with us. It's about time we all started taking this seriously and put Petty differences aside. That's what gets people killed." She looked briefly at Maho giving her a hard long look. "I might be over stepping my boundaries a little, but if the Iconians pose such a threat, then Starfleey can't be divided."

"Commodore Honda has made a point to Captain Takahashi that until we have a better understanding of the Iconians and the threat that they pose, we need all parties to be coordinating their efforts perfectly," Ichika replied. "That includes suspending any preconceived notions we may have about certain Captains and crews- hesitating even for a moment might be the difference between life and death."

At this point, Maho had begun to turn as red as the stripe on her uniform: Not out of anger, but out of embarrassment that her crew had continued to call her out over a matter she would have thought was resolved by now.

"There's one more thing that needs to be touched upon, based on who's in the room, or rather, who's not in the room:" Maho said. "I'm sure you've noticed the absence of Commander Anzai here at this briefing. She came to me just a few hours ago with transfer orders to the USS Oriskany. As a result, she will not be joining us our upcoming patrol and beyond."

Maho shifted in her seat and adjusted her uniform:

"We'll be heading out on our patrol to Sector 811 tomorrow morning, once the Akagi arrives in the system." Maho declared. "I want all departments ready to fly by then. Captain Hartmann doesn't like to be kept waiting. Dismissed."
