Mission: The Breen
Location: USS Myogi
Timeline: March 16, 2397

The Myogi was as back together as she could be. Crew rotations were completed, and further developments had arisen with the Klingon Empire sending an entire battle group to join the three Starfleet vessels en route to Breen space. The seven additional Klingon cruisers brought the total attack force up to ten vessels.

Maho emerged from her ready room after having fed Kyoko and returned her two month old daughter to the care of the holographic nanny. With things the way they were, whenever Maho was on duty, the ready room doubled as a makeshift nursery for Kyoko.

The Boatswain's whistle sounded as Maho made her way across the bridge to the command pit and her chair.

"It's go time." Maho declared, tapping her combadge. "Attention, all hands, this is the Captain; all departments report readiness status!"

"Engineering, everything is ready to go here." Ami responded first, her voice perky and excited since the cloaking device had finally gotten installed. "Maximum power is available at your command."

"All helm systems at one hundred percent," Jane reported from her station in front of the Captain.

With a few taps, Kael forwarded Medical's report to Operations from a panel above the biobed row. Sickbay traditionally did not report verbally at moments like these.

Alisha glanced over Mia in the fighter next to her and tapped the comm button on the panel in front of her, "Fighters are ready to launch, Captain, Jem and Banshee hot and ready."

Maho raised a curious brow.

"When did we start having our fighters escorting us out of the yard?" She asked in visible confusion.

"Not to escort us out," Jane clarified, turning to face the Captain. "But one hundred percent readiness is just that. Something goes awry, the fighters are ready to hit vacuum." She turned back to her console. "They'll rotate shifts as needed and make sure the alpha team is there ahead of the proper launch window. But the Iconians have hit enough task groups that we want to take all precautions."

"All airlocks secured, everyone is accounted for. We have a fully stocked torpedo magazine and phasers are all registering at fully operational. Shields are also at full capacity. Tactical wise the Myogi is better than shes ever been." Kurumi reported simply from the security/tactical console.

"All marine supplies are aboard." Liz remarked. "The corps is ready for ground assault operations."

"Counseling is in the green, Captain," Bree reported.

"The Klingon attack force will meet us en route." Chrirhc reported, the Hebitian busy keeping up to date on the movements of their allies that the Empire had set aside for them. "I hear it's best not to keep a Klingon waiting."

"Then let's not find out if it's true." Maho said, turning to the helm station. "Helm, take us out. Thrusters only until we're clear of the dock, then one quarter impulse until we're clear of the yard. Ops, signal to the Alita and Oorai to follow our course."

“Yes, ma’am,” Jane responded with a smile. “Thrusters forward.”

At Jane’s command input, the Myogi began to move forward, gently sliding out of its berth. Once clear, it swung port thirty degrees and up ten, angling toward their destination in Breen space. The impulse engine glowed hotter, pushing them forward at greater speed.

“Approaching the edge of the yard, Captain,” Jane reported.

"Status of the Alita and the Oorai?" Maho asked.

"Both ships are falling into formation." Ops reported.

"Lay in a course for the Breen border." Maho ordered. "Prepare to make the jump to warp."

"Incoming message from the Alita:" Ops suddenly piped up. "It's a poem of some sort..."

"What does it say?" Maho inquired.

"I've been a thousand places and shook a million hands,
I don't know where I'm going, but I know just where I've been
I've flown a million miles, and I've rode so many more
Every day, a castaway, a vagabond, battle born.

God speed, Myogi." The message from Captain Shokuho was recited aloud.

Jane smiled at the poem. "Course laid in. All ships ready to jump to warp on your order."

Jessica walked onto the bridge, still a new sight, being on the command staff rather than the Main sicklbay. Of course her training had qualified her and she passed with flying colours. but the fact that it was actually happening still felt new to her. Walking over to one of the empty consoles in the rear she took position.

"Take us to warp, helm." Maho ordered, her attention not on the new arrival on the bridge. "Warp eight until our rendezvous with the Klingons."

“Yes, ma’am,” Jane said with a grin. With a deft touch of the helm console, the warp drive activated and the Myogi jumped to several hundred times the speed of light.

Shortly after the Myogi jumped to warp, the warp drives of the Alita and the Oorai activated as well, and the prototype and Sao Paulo class ships also accelerated up to warp speed.

"Alita and Oorai have made the jump as well." Ops reported. "Both ships are holding formation.

As everyone on the bridge adjusted to the steady thrum of the Myogi's engines propelling the old ship through space at several hundred times the speed of light, Maho rose from her seat.

"Alert me when our Klingon friends arrive." She ordered. "I'll be in my ready room. Commander Misono, the bridge is yours."

"Aye, Captain," Ichika nodded in the affirmative.

Without further word, Maho strode across the bridge to the doors of her ready room, which swooshed open and shut as the captain disappeared within.

Kurumi kept her eyes down on the tactical console, she rested her chin between her thumb and finger as she began thinking about what they were about to face. Technically the Myogi was no match if they came across a large Breen Warship, so she needed to think of ways to be creative about their defences.
